About the Utah-Idaho District

District Board at 2019 DCLC

Key Club is a student-led volunteering organization. The first Key Club was started in 1925 in Sacramento, California. At first, only boys were allowed to join, but in 1977, girls were allowed to join. Now, Key Club is the world’s largest student-led service organization for high school students with more than 5,000 Key Clubs in 35 countries.

The Utah-Idaho District includes all the clubs in Utah and Idaho under 9 divisions.

Our Key Clubs are generous with their time. We are creative with our ideas and passionate about making a difference. And we have fun along the way!

Key Club’s Mission & Vision

Key Club empowers high school students to improve the world by making lasting differences. Key Clubbers around the world are learning how to lead and stand for what’s right through service and volunteerism. In partnership with their local Kiwanis club, high school students are making a positive impact as they serve others in their schools and communities.

Key Club Service

Service is at the heart of every Key Club, no matter where in the world it’s located. Members stage approximately 150,000 service projects and raise nearly US $100 million every year for communities, families, and projects. By working together, members achieve what one person cannot accomplish alone.
